Main Curriculum Source: The Complete Resource Book for Toddlers and Twos by Pam Schiller This resource book is filled with experiences that target the important areas of development for twos. Each topic is divided into activities and experiences that support: Language Enrichment Cognitive Development Social-Emotional Development Physical Development The curriculum is also supported with Healthy Beginnings: Supporting Development and Learning from Birth through Three Years of Age, (www.marylandhealthybeginnings.org). These developmental guidelines are used as a resource to support and encourage children during the ongoing process of growth and learn- ing. The guidelines were originally compiled in 2004, to be compatible with the Maryland Model for School Readiness and the Maryland State Curriculum. the guidelines met the expectations of the No Child Left Be- hind Act, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and the National Association of Early Childhood Specialists in State Departments of Educations. The Guidelines were updated in 2007. The guide- lines are divided into the topics of: Personal and Social Development Language Enrichment Cognitive Development Physical Development
